And that's it!

And that is the end of this module, and the end of the first week!

What, no exercises again?

Yes, it is quite likely that you will use these file manipulation libraries when you need them throughout your degree, and on real files. I am expecting you can gain experience and learn directly from there. It is quite likely that you will only use the most basic form of what I have introduced anyway. Of course, you can still practise on your own. Just find some suitable files and try to open and process them.

Anyway, I bet you are completely overloaded with information by now.

Overloaded!

That is ok. Do not worry. Take a rest over the weekend, and let your brain try to make connections while you rest. Then try to go through these materials over and over again to make more hidden connections that you might have missed the first time around. If you are new to programming, it will take some time for you to get assimilated. So allow yourself to enjoy the process and do not force it. Like I mentioned, what you have learnt in one week is what typical Computing students spend one or two terms to learn!

Speaking of brain connections, I recommend this free online course on Learning How to Learn. My videos are no match to hers!

Anyway, get a break, and get ready to start afresh next week!

Best wishes, Josiah & the Python Programming team
